Camp Cardinal Team Member Joins Gloucester Tourism Committee

Camp Cardinal RV Resort’s Nichole Williams has been appointed to the Gloucester Tourism Committee.

The Tourism Committee, an advocate for the local tourism industry, provides input to staff and the Board of Supervisors on matters that include budgeting and tourism initiatives. The committee lobbies for tourism interests and networks with other organizations to facilitate coordination of programs.

Camp Cardinal RV Resort in Gloucester Point along the Severn River is a family friendly campground that also offers cabin and cottage stays and amenities for all ages.

Nichole is the office manager at Camp Cardinal, which she calls a gateway to the Chesapeake Bay.

“My goal is not just to advocate for us but to help the county grow as a whole,” she said. “I think that often people don’t know all that we have here. There’s a ton of potential in this county to bring people here for tourism. The county is just so beautiful.”

The committee meets the third Thursday of every month.

“This town really feels like home to my husband and me,” said Nichole, who moved here four years ago. “Being able to help our community become a little better in every way is something I’m super excited for.”
