Party on the Half Shell – A Virginia Wine & Oyster Experience

Benefitting the Middle Peninsula Chesapeake Bay Public Access Authority (known as Virginia’s Coastal Wilds) to support its mission to make waterfront recreation accessible to all.

Get ready for an unforgettable day celebrating Virginia’s finest wines and oysters at Party on the Half Shell at Camp Cardinal’s Virginia Wine Camp. Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Severn River just off the Chesapeake Bay, this event brings together Virginia’s award-winning winemakers and local oyster farmers for a special “merroir to terroir” experience.

Enjoy raw and grilled oysters while chatting with the oyster farmers who cultivate them. Meet the winemakers as you savor their wines and learn about the craftsmanship behind every bottle.

With fires roaring, live music setting the mood, and delicious local seafood to indulge in, this is the ultimate fall event for wine and oyster lovers. Additional wine and food (there will be non-seafood options, too!) will be available for purchase, and for those looking to extend the experience, overnight stays are available in Camp Cardinal’s cozy cabins or RV and tent sites.
